Saturday and Sunday: Casa Herradura
9:00 A.M. You willregister and receive name tags
9:35 A.M. A cordial welcome given by a Mariachi Band
9:45 A.M. Board the train Please note: Before boarding the train, you will have to pass through customs and security-the same as you would go through at the airport.
10:15 A.M. We will begin our train ride to la Hacienda San José del Refugio - Casa Herradura, located in the Municipality of Amatitán, Jalisco.
12:00 P.M. We will arrive at the train station in Amatitán and then go by bus to Casa Herradura.
12:15 P.M. We will divide into groups and then begin our tour in which we will see how the agave is harvested, how tequila is currently produced, and then visita museum that has an antique distillery from the 19th century, and finally a movie to learn more about how tequila is currently produced.
1:30 P.M. A Mexican Buffet
2:40 P.M. Mariachi music, traditional Mexican songs, Ballet Folklórico, “SuertesCharras” (A national sport in Mexico), and finally everyone will have the opportunity to dance.
4:00P.M. In groups, we will leave La Hacienda San José del Refugio and return to the train station in Amatitán
4:30 P.M. Leave Amatitán for Guadalajara
6:30 P.M. Arrive at the Guadalajara Terminal.
Please Note: This program is open to the general public. For private tours call us and we will make the arrangements.
We recommend that you have breakfast before you begin your tour, wear comfortable clothes and shoes, and if you would like bring a camera or video recorder.
Please be at Guadalajara’s railroad station located on Av. Washington esquina (corner) of Av. Washington and Calzada Indepencia Sur. (South) at 9:00 A.M.. Have your tickets ready. Remember that they are only valid for the date for which they were purchased. If you bought your tickets through the internet, you will need official identification such as a passport or driver’s license to claim them, and the credit card that you used to buy them. Therewill be NO exceptionstothese rules.
Anyone who has any type of arms, pets, alcoholic drinks, or drugs will not be able to board the train.
